Together with a fellow student, Frits Goldschmeding decided to start the first agency in Amsterdam for temporary staff. Without money for stamps, the two students physically handed over letters to potential customers and candidates. Today, Randstad is the world's largest staffing and recruitment company.

In connection with Frits Goldschmeding's 80th birthday in 2013, a documentary was made about the journey - from the student apartment to the Randstad of the 2000s.
