fraud attempts by misuse brands randstad group
Please be aware that it happens increasingly often that persons who are in no way connected to the Randstad Group, pretend vis-à-vis the outside world to be part of one of the Randstad brands. Without our permission, they
- pose as a recruiter of a Randstad company by contacting people (e.g. via email, letter, phone, social media) about a “suitable position” (either a real vacancy of a Randstad company or a fake one); or
- try to tempt people to contact them by placing fake job adverts on (employment) websites, using the name of a Randstad brand.
The persons concerned request their “potential victims” to provide them with all kinds of personal information and to make (a) payment(s). It should be noted that none of the Randstad brands will ever request payment of any kind or a copy of a credit card or debit card from a candidate during a recruitment or job search process.
If you become aware of (possible) misuse of the brands of the Randstad Group and in particular of fraud attempts, please report to integrity officer at legal, legal@randstad.se as soon as possible.

attempted fraud by spoofing randstad's phone number
latest update december 21, 2023
It has come to our attention that fraudsters are using Randstad's brand to obtain sensitive information and deceive the public more frequently and cunningly lately. Phone numbers associated with our company are being subjected to 'spoofing,' which means fraudsters are using services that allow the Caller ID on your phone to show a fake telephone number, in this case, a number belonging to Randstad.
Randstad's general telephone numbers are not used to gather verification or for similar purposes. These numbers are intended for candidates, consultants, clients and other interest groups to contact us for support and other inquiries.
Some examples where scammers have used spoofing include advertisements on websites as Blocket and Qasa. The fraudsters have posted false ads in Randstad's name (brand) and employees' names seeking accommodations. Through forged documents and spoofing of phone numbers, they strengthened the identity of 'the employee' when contacting landlords. Fraudsters have also contacted landlords directly. Generally, Randstad does not provide accommodations to employees, at least not in its own name, but instead use intermediaries or landlords.
We take the situation seriously where our phone numbers are being spoofed, and our employees' integrity is compromised. This can lead to confusion and also potentially negatively impact our important interest groups. Therefore, we urge you to be extra vigilant and cautious when receiving calls or messages claiming to be from Randstad, especially if you are asked to disclose sensitive information or under other suspicious circumstances.

Scammers are actively targeting members of the public in Sweden by impersonating Randstad employees. The scammers use names that they get from e.g. LinkedIn and introduce themselves as Randstad employees to Telegram and Whatsapp users.
The targeted public members are often offered attractive job opportunities. In their text messages, the scammers ask users for social security numbers, phone numbers and sometimes financial commitment. We urge you not to share your personal and private information with unknown persons.
