Junior Expert in Food- and Water-borne Diseases (FOVEZ) to ECDC
We are now looking for a new team member to join ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) in Stockholm as a Junior Expert in Food-, Water- and Vector-borne/Zoonotic Diseases (FOVEZ).
You will report to the Head of Section for FOVEZ and support a range of activities related to these diseases. You will be employed by Randstad and work on assignment at ECDC.
... - Assignment length: This is a temporary assignment starting mid-January 2026 until 21 March 2026. The position is likely to continue beyond summer 2026.
- Location: This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden. It is a requirement that you are already based in Sweden or can relocate here immediately. No remote work from another country or city is possible.

1. Outbreak Detection and Monitoring Work under the guidance of an outbreak response expert to help identify and monitor disease outbreaks across Europe. This includes:
- Food- and water-borne diseases (e.g., Salmonellosis, Listeriosis)
- Vector-borne diseases (e.g., West Nile virus infection, dengue, chikungunya)
- Legionellosis
